UWGB Grad Amanda Leonhard hired at North Dakota State

Former Phoenix standout Amanda Leonhard ('02) has been hired by head coach Amy Ruley at North Dakota State University
in Fargo. She will be in charge of recruiting Wisconsin, Minnesota and the remainder
of the Midwest for the Bison. The Bison currently have eight players from Minnesota
on their roster, including one from Woodbury, the high school of our very own
Mary Kulenkamp. Expect to see Amanda on the sidelines when NDSU plays the Phoenix
in February at the PSC. Also of interest is that 26-year head coach Amy Ruley,
who has compiled a 631-159 (26-1 last season) record at NDSU, is originally from
Lowell, Indiana, about five miles south of Crown Point, the home town of current
Phoenix player Alex Webster.
Phoenix Women go on European Tour
June, 2005
Through fundraising efforts by the Phoenix Fast Break Club, the women's basketball
team, coaching staff and support staff embarked on an 11-day tour of Europe that
took the team through Amsterdam, Brussells and Paris. The team played six games
against European competition, winning four of the six games. More...
